Jazz Passengers "In Love" Album Review

A quirky Gem with great singing!
This CD features the following vocalists: Jimmy Scott, Jeff Buckley, John Kelly, Deborah Harry, D. K. Dyson, Bernard Fowler, Mavis Staples, Bob Dorough, Jenni Muldaur & Freedy Johnston. For me, the Jimmy Scott track is definitely the stand-out, but then I'm a major Jimmy Scott fan in whatever musical setting he's in. There are many interesting and beautiful tracks here. The jazz is quirky, but to my ear continually interesting. This is an album that grows on you like an eccentric friend.

Bun Onoe and Riyu When I undressed my many barbie dolls, I used to get a little excited, I wonder if it's only me Girls are by nature contradictory Do we want to not be seen, or do we want to show? When I'm walking outside with just a slip dress on, well I think it's just rude, boys' eyes shoot at me Well, when it's other boys, they certainly get on my nerves, but ever since I met you, yes, I want to look like a model or a pin-up girl My head is heading somewhere, somewhere far away like Tanzania Girls are by nature contradictory They don't want to be pushed, but they want to be drawn Someday, when the feremones of my body start growing less and less Would you sniff it out? When our hairs get white, would you still treat me like a Barbie Doll in my house? We're living on a star with the same amount of men and women One day I fall in love with you, and I will find you, a lover who is much more precious than me Sticking my pillow next to yours, with my eyes shut You know, you make me feel like I'm back in Elementary Schoool 'Cause when I'm about to go to sleep, you break the silemce and start talking again Someday, a long time from now, if a miniature barbie comes to greet us, well then There will be another girl or boy Who's more and more precious than us We're living on a star with the same amount of men and women Even cycads or anmonites, or even cows We're living on a star with the same amount of men and women One day we fall in love with you, and we all find you, a neighbour who is much more precious than us *from 1st Album "Hiccups" "Riyu's Album" (Good Humor).
